Under the leadership of Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, SHRS is advancing health, education and skill development through a social enterprise model that creates both community impact and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Flagship Initiative

The sanitary pad production and awareness program has established 12 units across India to improve menstrual hygiene access and create women-led livelihood opportunities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create an ‘Equal Society’ where individuals acquire competent skills to become independent. This equality also entails an environment of support and welfare for women, ensuring they are a part of the mainstream economy and contribute to household livelihoods.

Our short-term goal is to focus on imparting literacy through non-formal education, Technical/Vocational Education, Health & Hygiene Awareness, advocacy for government policies that benefit people, and educating women about their rights.

Our Vision

With the motto to “Inform, Communicate, and Empower”, Safe Hands Rehabilitation Society (SHRS) aims to empower the abilities of special children and find sustainable ICT solutions to overcome information poverty in rural, semi-urban, and urban areas of India. It also aims to promote health through Ayurveda and prevention strategies, helping the needy and elderly people, along with women and youth empowerment.

In an effort to achieve this aim, SHRS has initiated projects in areas of Access & Infrastructure; Governance & Citizen Services; Markets & Social Enterprises; Knowledge Hub & Network; Research & Advocacy; .
